Please read this Refund and Cancellation Policy carefully before making a donation through our website.

​

Donations Are Final and Non-Refundable

​

All donations made to VPRA Foundation are voluntary, final and non-refundable.

Once a donation has been successfully processed and confirmed, VPRA Foundation will not cancel, reverse or refund the donation under any circumstances, including:

​

• Change of mind after making the donation

• Accidental or unintended donation

• Incorrect donation amount entered by the donor

• Multiple or duplicate payments made by the donor

• Selection of an incorrect campaign or cause

• Incorrect personal information entered during payment

• Failure to use a discount, benefit or promotional option

• Dissatisfaction with the allocation or utilisation of an unrestricted donation

• Failure to read the donation details or applicable policies before payment

• A request made by a family member, employer or another person on behalf of the donor

 

Donors are therefore advised to carefully verify the donation amount, selected campaign, name, email address, mobile number and other information before completing payment.

No Cancellation After Payment

​

A donation cannot be cancelled once the payment has been successfully completed.

​

Closing the browser, leaving the payment page or contacting VPRA Foundation after successful payment will not cancel the donation.

​

A donation will be treated as completed when it is shown as successfully received in the records of VPRA Foundation, its bank or its authorised payment-gateway provider.

​

Failed, Pending or Unsuccessful Transactions

​

A failed, pending or unsuccessful transaction is not treated as a completed donation unless the amount is successfully received by VPRA Foundation.

​

When a donor’s account is debited but the payment is shown as failed or pending, the donor should contact their bank, UPI application, card issuer or payment service provider.

​

Such amounts may be automatically reversed by the concerned bank or payment provider according to its own processing rules and timelines.

​

An automatic reversal of a failed or unprocessed payment will not be considered a refund issued by VPRA Foundation.

VPRA Foundation cannot manually refund or reverse an amount that has not been successfully received and confirmed in its payment records.

​

Duplicate Payments

​

Donors must verify the transaction status before attempting payment again.

When a donor makes more than one successful payment, each successfully completed payment will be treated as a separate voluntary donation.

Duplicate successful payments will not be refunded or cancelled.

​

Incorrect Donation Amount

​

The donor is solely responsible for checking the donation amount before authorising payment.

An incorrect amount entered and successfully paid by the donor will remain a valid voluntary donation and will not be eligible for cancellation or refund.

Campaign-Specific and Unrestricted Donations

​

A campaign-specific donation may be used for the campaign selected by the donor.

​

When the requirements of a campaign have been fulfilled, changed, postponed or discontinued, VPRA Foundation may use the remaining funds for another programme or purpose consistent with its objectives.

​

Unless expressly stated otherwise, donations may be allocated to the programme, activity, administrative requirement or community need considered appropriate by VPRA Foundation.

​

Disagreement with the utilisation or allocation of a donation will not create any entitlement to a refund.

​

Payment-Gateway and Transaction Charges

​

Payment-gateway charges, bank charges, taxes and other transaction-related costs may be deducted from the donation amount before it is received by VPRA Foundation.

​

Such charges are governed by the concerned bank or payment-service provider.

​

VPRA Foundation will not refund or reimburse any transaction charge, convenience fee, payment-gateway fee, tax or bank charge paid or deducted in connection with a donation.

​

Recurring Donations

​

VPRA Foundation does not currently offer recurring or subscription-based donations unless specifically stated on the donation page. When recurring donations are introduced, a donor may cancel future scheduled debits in accordance with the applicable mandate and payment-provider procedure.

​

Cancellation of a recurring mandate will apply only to future payments that have not yet been processed.

Any recurring payment that has already been successfully processed will remain final and non-refundable.

​

Unauthorised Transactions and Chargebacks

​

A donor who believes that a payment was made without authorisation should immediately contact their bank, card issuer, UPI provider or payment-service provider.

​

VPRA Foundation may provide transaction records, donor declarations, payment information and other supporting evidence to the bank or payment gateway during the investigation of a dispute or chargeback.

​

A payment will be reversed only when VPRA Foundation is required to do so by:

​

• Applicable law

• A court order

• A regulatory authority

• A bank or card-network decision

• A payment-gateway dispute or chargeback decision

• A mandatory payment-processing reversal

 

Such a mandatory reversal will not constitute a voluntary refund under this policy.

Donation Receipts and Tax Documentation

​

Donation acknowledgements or receipts will be issued using the information provided by the donor.

VPRA Foundation will not refund a donation because the donor supplied an incorrect name, address, PAN, email address, mobile number or other information.

​

Correction of a receipt may be considered when permitted by law and supported by appropriate documents.

When a transaction is reversed under a legal, regulatory, banking or payment-gateway requirement, any receipt, acknowledgment or tax certificate issued for that transaction will automatically stand cancelled.

The donor must not claim a tax deduction for any payment that has been reversed.

Donor Responsibility

Before completing a donation, the donor is responsible for:

​

• Reading the campaign and donation information

• Checking the donation amount

• Confirming that the payment is being made voluntarily

• Ensuring that the source of funds is lawful

• Providing accurate personal and payment information

• Verifying whether any tax benefit is available

• Reading the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Donation Policy and this Refund and Cancellation Policy

 

By completing the payment, the donor confirms that these checks have been made and accepts that the donation is final and non-refundable.

Technical Assistance

​

Donors may contact VPRA Foundation for assistance regarding:

​

• Payment-status verification

• Missing confirmation messages

• Donation receipt requests

• Correction of eligible receipt information

• Failed or pending transaction records

• Reporting a suspected unauthorised transaction

 

Providing technical assistance does not create an obligation to cancel or refund a successfully completed donation.

Changes to This Policy

​

VPRA Foundation may revise this Refund and Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in its operations, payment methods, legal requirements or regulatory obligations.

Any revised policy will become effective when published on the website.

The policy applicable on the date of the donation will govern that donation, subject to applicable law.
