RVS College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur

10 February 2026

Hosted by Xpectra Media Club

Earlier in the year 2026, VPRA Foundation was invited to conducted a basic training session on camera operation and essential media equipment at RVS College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur. The invitation from the Xpectra Media Club reflected the institution’s intent to strengthen practical exposure for its student members. The college sought foundational training in camera handling, framing principles, and understanding of production tools used in real-world media environments.

Workshop Highlights

  • Introduction to professional and semi-professional camera systems

  • Understanding lenses, exposure, white balance and frame rates

  • Basics of tripod use, stabilisation and camera movement

  • Introduction to sound recording equipment

  • Practical demonstration and student hands-on exercises

  • Industry insights on production workflow

The session was designed to move beyond theory. Students interacted directly with equipment, asked technical questions and explored how campus media clubs can function more professionally.

Outcome

The training bridged the gap between academic interest and field realities. Students gained clarity on industry standards and technical fundamentals, preparing them for internships, campus productions and independent projects.

By collaborating with educational institutions, VPRA Foundation continues to invest in nurturing young media professionals at the grassroots level.
